In 2019, I was tasked with leading the overhaul efforts of the e-commerce storefront for Bayada Home Health Care. The previous iteration of the website worked from a logistical perspective but lacked massively in that the user experience was a non-consideration and the old site was not integrated with Bayada’s procurement tool Workday. The goal for myself and my team was to fully redesign the online experience for our customers placing orders as well as build a responsive, fully integrated site with Workday so the customer experience and accounting would be seamless and fully automated. In addition, the site would be tied into Perfect’s internal production tools and workflows related to printing so every order would go straight to press with no manual intervention.
The website itself serves as the sole platform for the company's 800+ offices across the United States (3,500+ profiled site users), allowing nurses to order Start of Care Packets (folders with customized information) for new patient admits. These packets contain essential healthcare-related forms and items that are printed and produced on demand by Perfect Communications and shipped to different Bayada offices nationwide. Drawing upon my expertise in UX principles, I implemented wireframing, prototyping, testing, and user research to revamp the website. Additionally, I managed the cXML PunchOut integration that bridged Perfect's internal project management tools with Bayada's internal procurement application, Workday. Since I took over the design and management of the website, annual revenue has more than doubled, skyrocketing from $1.5 million to over $3.0 million in 2022.
Due to the nature of this site displaying state and federally mandated medical forms and regulated pricing, I am unable to display certain details of this project. If you have questions about this project, please reach out!
